You’re heartily invited to start the Holidays with us at the 5th Annual Julefest, the Twin Cities' Nordic Christmas party!
This year, the Julefest partnering organizations are excited to host our event at the newly renovated Watson Block, in Minneapolis' Historic Warehouse District. This unique space combines the old-world charm of the historic building’s brick and timber alongside elegant, contemporary finishes.

Started in 2014 by the Norwegian-American Chamber of Commerce as "Norsk Julefest," this authentic Norwegian-style holiday cocktail party has expanded to include Swedish and Finnish traditions as well, uniting the three Nordic Chambers of Commerce, Norway House and the Norwegian Consulate, and numerous Nordic organizations and businesses throughout the state for an evening of friends, food, and festivities.
The emcee for the evening will be Ethan Bjelland, from Norway House. The evening's program will feature a social and dinner hour, fabulous door prizes and gift baskets, songs and carols around the Christmas tree, and more. Peter Skjervold's Jazz Combo will play through the night. Then there’s the food! The DECO, a Julefest perennial favorite, will be back to cater this year's party! Their menu has pulled out all the stops:
➢ An assortment of artisan breads served with gravlaks cream cheese, hummus, or roasted eggplant spreads
➢ Waldorf salad and various fruits
➢ Beef tenderloin or oven roasted pork roast
➢ Swedish meatballs
➢ Salmon with creamy dill sauce
➢ Dill potatoes and roasted vegetables
Your ticket includes dinner and an open bar--including Valhalla Premium Aquavit tasting and Christmas beer (Juleøl) provided by a surprise-guest brewery, which will be chosen on November 16th at Norway House's Gingerbread Wonderland Member Opening Party. Discounted tickets are available for those who will not take part in libations. Everyone will go home with a gift bag, and some will also take home a door prize from our sponsors.
