Join us September 18 to hear from Sweden's Ambassador to the United States Karin Olofsdotter on this question and to get an update on the current bilateral trade picture between Sweden and the United States-- a relationship that generates cumulative bilateral investment valued at about $75 billion.
The Minnesota Trade Office is pleased to partner with the American Swedish Institute, the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce, and Dorsey & Whitney law firm in offering this briefing event, also featuring local experts on trade and sustainability issues. A representative of IKEA— Sweden’s well known retailer— will tell us how they set and achieve sustainability goals. Finally, we'll also share insights on best markets in Sweden for Minnesota companies.
Ambassador Olofsdotter is the first woman to serve as Sweden's Ambassador to the United States, and began her tenure in September 2017. This is her second posting to the Swedish Embassy in Washington. Previously, she served as Sweden's Ambassador to Hungary and as chief of staff to three successive Swedish foreign ministers.
