Dean Edstrom serves on the Board of the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce Minnesota (SACC-MN), where he brings decades of legal expertise and international business experience to support stronger commercial relationships between Sweden and the Upper Midwest.
An accomplished attorney, Dean has built a distinguished career advising clients on corporate law, securities, mergers and acquisitions, and international business transactions. Throughout his career, he has practiced with leading law firms in New York, Paris, and Minnesota, representing entrepreneurial ventures, multinational corporations, investment banks, and government entities in complex domestic and cross-border transactions.
In addition to his legal practice, Dean is a respected lecturer and panelist, frequently speaking on topics including mergers and acquisitions, securities law, joint ventures, and international business. His expertise has made him a trusted advisor to organizations navigating global markets and strategic growth opportunities.
Dean has also demonstrated a longstanding commitment to civic leadership and public service. His many leadership roles have included serving on the Eden Prairie City Council, as District Governor for Rotary International, President and Chair of the Eden Prairie Foundation, and Chair of the International Business Law Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association. Through these roles, he has helped advance business development, community engagement, and international collaboration.
Dean earned his Bachelor of Arts from Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and both his LL.B. and LL.M. in Civil Law from New York University School of Law.
