Erik Lindberg serves as Treasurer and Secretary of the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce Minnesota (SACC-MN), bringing decades of experience in energy conservation, entrepreneurship, and business leadership to the organization.
With an academic background in physics, chemistry, and environmental studies, Erik began his career in the energy conservation field during a period of growing national focus on energy efficiency. He initially worked with nonprofit organizations, helping individuals and businesses better understand energy use, heat transfer, and opportunities to improve efficiency.
Erik later founded his own S corporation, where he developed and administered energy conservation programs on behalf of public utilities. Through the company, he secured three of the largest energy conservation contracts in Minnesota and built a sizable team to deliver energy assessment and conservation services across the state.
His work combined technical expertise with education and practical implementation. Erik trained field professionals to evaluate homes and small businesses using technologies including infrared imaging, pressure-testing systems, and combustion-efficiency equipment. He also developed a comprehensive database and reporting system that transformed testing results, photographs, and property data into detailed reports with prioritized energy-efficiency recommendations.
Throughout his career, Erik has been particularly passionate about making complex technical concepts understandable and actionable. As Treasurer and Secretary of SACC-MN, he brings his entrepreneurial experience, analytical perspective, and commitment to sustainability to supporting the Chamber’s mission and strengthening connections between Minnesota and Sweden.
